Azzam Elder, a respected Michigan trial lawyer and business advisor, is proud to be an American and a global citizen. Azzam Elder is inspired and invigorated by pursuing public service in his community and abroad. Azzam Elder devotes his spare time to public service projects organized by his local Rotary Club. He recently travelled to Nicaragua to participate in the “children of the dump” outreach mission. Azzam Elder shares his thoughts on the importance of not only local community service, but on the importance of global community service engagement as well.

Azzam Elder knows global community service is not only a great way to gain an improved sense of empathy, but it is also valuable for meeting diverse groups of people and helping to ease this stereotypical view of the American. Azzam Elder has always appreciated the diverse viewpoints he encounters and the stimulating conversations he engages in while participating in global service projects. He uses what he’s learned in his travels for his business and for making himself a better person.
